Nilgarra was a Chios Spirit known for taking the Essence of other creatures and was reviled for this fact. Once he managed to absorb the powers of Abalaw he took on the divine profile of Revenge, Domination, and Conquest.

General Physical Condition

A humanoid torso that is blubbery. His head is cone-shaped and has four beady blue eyes on it.   Since absorbing Abalway, it is unknown how he appears exactly. It could be possible that he has gained the ability to change his appearance.

Personal history

On the 18th Day of the Orange Moon in the year 437 Nilgarra managed to complete a ritual that allowed him to absorb the Essence of Abalwaw, the brother of Caillen "Lord of Murder". With this amount of Essence, Abalaw was able to ascend to the ranks of a Chara Spirit.

Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If the usurper fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.   Magic Resistance. The usurper has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.     Spider Climb. The usurper can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.  

Actions

Multiattack. The usurper makes two tendril attacks and two absorbing touch attacks.   Tendril. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 50 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is grappled (escape DC 17). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained and has disadvantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws, and Nilgarra can't use the same tendril on another target.   Absorbing Touch. Arcane spell attack: One creature grappled by the usurper must make a Consitution saving throw DC 17 or take 4d10 necrotic damage. The usurper heals half of the damage it inflicts.

Reactions

Essence Absorption. When Nilgarra kills a creature he can use his reaction to absorb the creatures life Essence and add their power to his own. There is a 10 percent chance he is successful. On a success, depending on the creature's strength, Nilgarra can gain one of the following effects.   Character level 1-5: Nilgarra regains two hit dice.   Character level 6-10: Nilgarra regains two hit dice and his attacks deal an extra 1d8 force damage.   Character level 10-20: Nilgarra can use one feature of the killed creature at the rate the creature could.

Legendary Actions

The usurper can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The usurper regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.   Cohesion Ooze. Any creature within 15 feet of the usurper must make a DC 15 Strength saving throw or become trapped in a sticky ooze and restrained until they can succeed the saving throw at the end of their turn.   Weakening Blow. The Usurper begins to suck the energy out of a target it has grappled, The target must make a Strength saving throw DC 18 the target's strength is reduced by 1d4 until they take a long rest.   Copy Cat (costs 2 actions). The usurper can copy the action of the last creature to make an action. If this action does damage it does half of the damage that the original creature would deal.

Nilgarra has a humanoid body with a torso that has blubber skin. His head is cone-shaped with no hair and four beady purple eyes. He has arm-like tendrils and purple ooze seems to leak from him.
