Maralith's Form grants Evelyn physical features of a Minx inlcuding their eyes, ears, fangs, claws and wings. In this form, she has excellent hearing and vision.

Flithmar's Aura

With Flithmar's Aura, Evelyn is able to summon or generate flames from her body and project it outward. She is also immune to damage from fire. When manifested, orange markings appear across her body and fur.

Evelyn is the matriarch of the Minx family. She is Dowager Duchess and mother to Allen Minx, the current Duke and head of the family. She has one more surviving child, Felicity, while the rest of her children died from illness or in military service. She had 17 children in total, Allen was a middle child and Felicity was the youngest. She is also the grandmother of the main character, Tia Minx.

Evelyn was a proud mother, taking immense joy from her children and their upbringing. She consistently butted heads with her husband Titus but she was able to overlook this by focusing on preparing her children for service, often training them herself between pregnancies. Minx Manor bustled with activity in those years which Evelyn considered the happiest years of her life.

Unfortunately, this only lasted until her eldest children began serving in the military and dying off. With each loss, she became more bitter and placed surmounting pressure on her remaining children to become stronger.

For the most part, Evelyn blamed herself each time one of her children died in service, feeling she didn't do enough to prepare them. Rather than questioning the system which had taken her children from her, Evelyn doubled down on her beliefs. She found herself unable to disparage the kingdom, to point her finger toward Accia's manditory enlistment, after so many decades of blind faith. She was also unwilling to tarnish the sacrifices her family had made by doubting the country they died fighting for. So severe and unfortunate were the losses of the Minx family that some questioned whether they might be suffering under a curse, no Minx escaping a tragic fate.

Appearance

Evelyn is poised, confident and well groomed. Despite being so petite, she exudes confidence and pride. Her hair was once chestnut but has faded to gray, only her lynx ears retaining its color, albeit faded. She nearly always keeps these ears manifested alongside her wings, when practical. In her magic form, orange patterns appear across her body and face and her hair or fur takes some of the same color.

Evelyn served the kingdom in her youth, taking part in the final years of the campaign in Alkelbulan. Evelyn has always been a determined, assertive, passionate and fierce woman. Those she served with her considered Evelyn a spitfire and many were intimidated by her. She had always been passionate about her family and proud of the position her family plays within the kingdom. This passion carried over after her service as well and she married immediately after returning to continue 'doing her part' for the kingdom. She married Titus, who took her family name, for the potential his aura would offer her children but also because of a mutual respect for his strength. She turned all of her attention to producing children and managing their estates.

Failures

After the many and intense losses Evelyn has faced in life, especially the loss of so many children, she has a rigid view that allows her to cope with these losses. She has become more passionate than ever about the Minx House, feeling the only way to honor the lives of her fallen children is to ensure the continuation of the family and the kingdom they sacrificed their lives for. Tia represents that continuation and legacy to her. Tia carrying forward the family's legacy into the future is her way of allowing all of her children to move forward. She refuses to let their sacrifices amount to nothing.

Trauma

As the lossess of their children mounted, Titus placed the blame onto Evelyn. He believed she was too soft on their children and this led to their weakness. He developped an obsession with cleansing weakness from his family. Each time a child died, he expected Evelyn to erase every trace of them from the manor. He also began punishing Evelyn for even the tiniest expression of weakness or sorrow, any tears she shed. Eveylyn still suffers deep shame or even fear when she is overcome by these emotions, struggling even after Titus passed away to express vulnerability in front of others. The loss of her children, her treasures, inevitably had an impact on Evelyn, no matter how strong willed she is.

Evelyn became overly attached to appearances, traditions, ritual and family responsibilities, allowing them to become more important to her than is logical. This was especially the case with her relationship with her youngest child Felicity after Allen left for Nippon. In Evelyn's eyes, Felicity was more than just her youngest child, she represented the collective legacy of all of her children stacked on top of Felicity's shoulders. This had devastating consquences, ruining the relationship between mother and daughter so egregiously that Felicity has cut off all contact with Evelyn. And while Evelyln refocused her passions into the management of the Minx territories and of their House, throwing herself into humanitiarian pursuits, the overwhleming sense of dread for the doom of her bloodline loomed ever closer. She was beginning to lose hope. It is her relationship with her precious, one and only grandchild that will challenge Evelyn's shortcomings, scars and beliefs. Is she capable of change or will Tia be the next Felicity?

Hobbies

Evelyn runs a number of charities and organizations she either supports financially or champions more directly, something that has absorbed most of her attention in the absence of her children. Some of these focus on minimizing the maltreatment of beasts and familiars in the kingdom, establishing a network of more humane beast keeping organizations. She has also become quite the figure in northern Alkelbulan for her humanitarian aid, particularly to the Haratin in Marrakesh, providing hospitals, food and education to impoverished children. She is determined to provide these children with the resources to better survive their eventual military service as she tried to provide for her own children. These pursuits have caused her to clash against the Chevalier House who she has exposed for their animal abuse and political corruption, their house on the edge of ruin thanks to Evelyn and her allies. She has clearly made herself a stark enemy of the Chevalier.
