Church of Mara

History

Origionaly built by Ryland Stormrider when Seafall was first founded. This church has been the local corination site for every head of House Stormrider since its creation. Origionally the church was 40ft long, 25ft wide and made of strong pine. The church remained a small worship centre for the for all those who were worshipers of Mara; basically everybody in the small town.

In 1143, at the request of Katerine Stormrider, the Pious and under the guidance of Erlich Stormrider the church was rebuilt as a stone building, with a slightly larger footprint at 50ft long, and 30 ft wide. They also raised the church to a second story with a balcony, and a 3rd story belltower. This makes the belltower of the new church the same hieght as Castle Seafall, the only other 3 story structure in the city.

During the Siege of Seafall the church was damaged, the second story seating areas being destroyed. However they were repaired over the winter of December 1172-Febuary 1173.
