Rusty Iron Tankard
History
The Rusty Iron Tankard is the latest in a long line of different taverns that have come and gone in Seafall. When a new owner takes over the tavern they often changes names to better suit the new owners. in 1172 the last owner Grimgar Stonebeard died in the Raid of Seafall and no new owner has purchased the building since then. Stay Tuned.
The building is two stories, the door is on the northern side of the building. Inside, the tavern exudes a rustic charm, there is a large stone fireplace stunk into the western wall. The eastern wall has a staircase to bring guests to their rooms which are all located on the second floor. Across from the door lies the bar and behind that the kitchen. There are 5 rooms on the second floor, all spartanly decorated with a simple staw bed, end table and wooden chest for belongings.
The walls in the great hall are adorned with aged tapestries and shields of great heros who have visited the tavern. A large coat of arms of House Stormrider hangs above the fireplace. Guests sit at one of 12 rough circular wooden tables each with 6 chairs around. Guests are used to telling tales of legendary adventurers and mythical creatures, and local rumours. The space is dimly lit, with flickering candles casting a warm and intimate glow over the worn tables and chairs.
The heroes of Seafall stayed in the rooms here over the course of the Siege of Seafall And that has since been a claim to fame since the new owner Roderick Onionhands has opened for business in the spring of 1173.
