New Year's Resolutions 2023 in Elema | World Anvil

New Year's Resolutions 2023

I’d like to start off by saying happy New Year’s congratulations to anyone who participated in World Ember. We did it. We got more writing done in our world for the start of the coming year. Now first I’m going to talk about the 10 articles I read and what I learned from them.
  • The saddest most powerful sword Shattered Sisters by Chrispy_0. I really like the two tragic stories that was wrote in the article. This is an outstanding read as well as he uses images to enhance the storytelling. You will get to learn about the last wilder and how it was forged. What I learned from this is if I can add short stories into any of my articles, even giving characters some dialogue. Tow to do coding because I would like to make my articles look that cool.
  • The Coolest Monster around Dragon by Mochimanoban I love how the Arthur wrote about the Dragons and the different types. What’s in this article I found out that you could write a bunch of cool names for the different types of species of animal or creature you made. Not having Oracle built for it, but maybe for a few and you could later on come back. I will talk to you overthink things and I think it’s about everything right in there. So this is a good idea for me to make great notes and interesting ideas and I can come back to it a little later. Also love the artwork of the different Dragons and how they look.
  • A Soup of your own Worlds EAT YOUR WORDSBY eccboks I really love how he starts with a history lesson about how the spell came to be. Even though the fact I was designed for good intentions but has become a form of torture. Like most days in real life, people have great intentions and then other people find a way to use it for all sorts of bad ideas. This gives me the idea to write some of the histories of spells in their articles as well as come up with some ideas on spells that countries and kingdoms and villains have created to get information hurt people or any other oppositions that they could have come across.
  • Here Come Draconic The Draconic Invasionby R. R. LoreCastle Is a very well written invasion of Dragons from another realm and how a Kingdom responded to the oncoming attack. What I learned from this is to not just talk about the elite warriors and adventurers and leaders of the battle. you can also talk about how the Kingdom responds, how it changed normal societies lives, and other people who either help or were involved but not directly with the battles. This gives me an idea to think about when I write a war or conflict to think about adding little flavor from other viewpoints and avenues of life.
  • Time Wizard Chronomancerby Typh39's      There take on a wizard of time is really inserting. not able to effect the past but know all about it. help with the future but after it happen can not change. This give me the idea to great diffent type of job that each rpg class from to have. given them what kind of fighter, guard for kingdom, street thug that was or is apart of ganged, or about of an order with a special goal. as example of anther class off top my head. To give the world some mush more type of job and life style.
  • The Mage stone of random Chaos Gemby Arimel      They made a stone that can be use in lot multiples way. Form a mage use store power to created dice that will all way be random. This just reinforce what I already know and should all way think about. That most stuff has primary use and serval other thanks that can be use for.
  • Metal Bone loss Surface Bonesby drunkenpanda951. I love how he start with a lesson dwarves and their bone and the way they develop. Then take about a disease that make complete session to be in the world. It make want to make more disease for my world. I have on for bone disease for half orc. know want to build more for all my specie.
  • The World Magic Innate Magicby Becky R   I love how Explain the what is innate magic and give several example of ability user and how the world view these gifts. It is similar of idea I been toy with on write down the magic in my world and explain how it work and what I see it as. To me if only 10% would be use in game or story I think it will help story teller out doing something like this.
  • Gift of Flowers Flower Dayby goldenrose8    This is very sweet holiday that has very sad but happy origin. I love how it children that go around giving flower to the adults in the mornings while they act sleep and older keep eye on the younger. it dose good job show a cute holiday and even tell nice story about how it being. It give my the idea that even in the same kingdom that some town or city have different holiday or stuff they calibrate for different reason and event that happen in their history. So it good for me to give some town a unique holiday or tradition
  • Birth place of a god Egg's Cradleby Tatrica   This is amazing's article that tell of what is thought to be birth place of dragon god. This article let you know what the people think and how thought out the years they treat the place and what has happen to it. It give me the idea that need to write up some holy spot and history of it. I need to create some in the further it should be fun
So for my New Year’s resolution, it’s going to be a bit complicated. It’s more gonna be a long-term plan with several goals and ADHD sidetrack. I’m also working two jobs at the moment to get me and my wife are new home so that’s my major goal for this year which will then also give me hopefully a nice place to write and draw. So with this coming year I want to learn How to use World Anvil and clip art studio a lot better than I do now. I want to discover and create starting points for all the cities, towns, and planets I have created in my two worlds. To write up better campaigns and more interesting stories for my players. I also want to start writing short stories in my world so that way I can get better at writing stories. In general, you’re basically right about the big story that I’ve been thinking about for over several years. Which means I also need to read more books on fantasy and understand how writing style works. Also, create several items spells armors and other stuff just to put into the world. So this is this your those are my big goals but I’m going to start with learning to write and draw and understand what I’m working on and to slowly build up my skill and make me a better worldbuilder.

Thanks for reading and Thanks Word Anvil for this Awesome place to work. Let have an amazing year
