Lyndion Academy of the Arcane
Located in the Auskerian Empire and founded in 2148 CR, Lyndion Academy is one of several schools dedicated to cultivating magic in students, and is one of the few schools that requires students to have a certain level of magical affinity before they can be allowed to continue into higher grades. Lyndion is responsible for helping to protect the country from Daemon's and other foreign threats, because of this however the area's outside of the country are a wasteland due to constant battles and other countries trying to take their land and resources. Lyndion sits on a very large deposit of Ceruluem Crystal's located just beneath the academies grounds.
The school is run by a ranking system, this system helps prevent students from going into area's that might be to dangerous for their age. The ranking system is also used to determine what determines are taught and how they are ultimately treated. An example being that Neonates, which are primary students, are not allowed access to the research area while Prophyte's are.
The school is owned by the Askin and Libra families. As of 2701 DW, it has a total student population of just above nine hundred. Lyndion has expanded into several satellite campuses in other cities, to help spread their student population.

Educational Structure
Primary students, those in the sixth grade and below, spend their school days learning academics and then spend two hours in the afternoon learning magic, although they are also permitted to practice magic during recess. Primary students are on a strict magical curriculum, what they are taught is based upon their Neonate ranking, for example, a Neonate Sprout is restricted to learning only how to defend themselves while a Neonate Flowering is taught not only how to defend, but also, how to attack; regardless of rank, all students are taught control. Primary students are taught everything from basic academics, to advanced mathematics, language courses, and science. This is due to the student body being comprised of Aurelian's and possessing the ability to learn at an accelerated rate. Secondary students don’t have academic classes but rather instead are fully expected to take on magical courses. Academic classes are considered optional and those can be taken on the weekends.Student Population
The population of the school, in its entirety, is just below six hundred; though it's population fluctuates over the year with transfers, expulsions, and apprenticeships. The primary division averages three hundred students while the secondary around two hundred. For primary students, each grade is comprised of ten students per class, with ten classes per grade. While secondary has two classes per grade with twelve students each.Student Life
While students in primary are treated to a more laid back atmosphere, and one that is rather engaging; secondary face more of a serious one where they are expected to excel in their chosen fields. Students can either live off campus or in dormitories, though students are advised to live in dormitories due to strict attendance policies. Students are given a lot of free time to relax and enjoy themselves, this is because the educational structure of the school is more serious than at other schools located within the nation. Students start classes are nine and end at three, giving students seven hours of instruction, this is done across both divisions. Two additional hours are spent on the main classes, where students can take part in chosen electives.Competition
The school is rather competitive, especially in the primary division due to the limited number of slots available for students going up into secondary. Students who do not make the cut are sent to other school affiliated with Libra, while those who do will be able to stay in Libra. This competitiveness, however, often results in bullying, both overt and outright. Even once students are in secondary, there is still quite a bit of competitiveness even though there is plenty of room in elective classes or even the schools ranking system for students to move up.Divisions
The school is broken up between the primary and secondary divisions. Primary is grades 1st to 6th and doesn't require students to test in order to attend, the school permits any student between the ages of six and twelve to start off in this division. The secondary division, on the other hand, is for eleven year olds and above; this division teaches all magical related subjects with only a few academics mixed in and requires students to test into it in order to be permitted into the school. Primary students are considered important to the school, almost sixty percent of those in the primary division will graduate into secondary while the rest who do not are sent to other schools in the area.Primary
The primary division is where younger students go to learn academics and the basics of magic, including the theory behind it. Primary is comprised of grades first to sixth grade, ages six to twelve. Primary students were a more stylish uniform that points to their innocence, and in some cases, nativity. During magical classes and combat they wear a uniform more appropriate for the task. In a way, the primary division is considered the 'face' of the academy to outsiders.Secondary
Secondary students focus on magical based classes, with only some academics mixed in as electives. These students are given a true taste of magic and what it entails and are given more access to the academy than their primary counterparts. This is the hidden side of the academy, as secondary students often take part in the defense of the nation while also taking on jobs from guilds or even from the academy itself. Secondary students wear a more business casual uniform, unless they request otherwise. In Libra, secondary student start off in the first grade, and end in the sixth. Unlike other schools, which would have students start off in the seventh and end in the twelfth. A student has to be at least twelve years of age in order to start secondary school, regardless of how old they are after, they will always start as a first grader in secondary school, even if they came to the school as a sixteen year old.Curriculum
Students are taught a variety of subjects ranging from general education, such as language, math, science, physical education, to those that the was designed to teach, including magical theory, casting, etc. Important topics of study include martial arts, to allow students to be able to defend themselves in cases where magic isn't an option, to the dangers of magic and the risks of using it in ways it isn't meant to be used.Additional Information
