Ranking System

The school uses two systems, one for primary students and another for students who have already demonstrated competency in magic and thus are in secondary school. These two systems are used to help place students in regards to their afternoon magical classes, while primary students will always be in the same magical classes, pages and above will always have different classes. The High Arc System represents students who have already demonstrated their magic to be on par with what is required for a student to attend the school. While the Hana No Ko System used to represent students in primary who haven’t yet demonstrated the required knowledge and skills for the high arc system.   Meister - highest ranked student within the school, only three students may hold this rank. Prophyte - the second highest rank, these students have proven themselves to be capable and thus are allowed to take part in defense or attack missions. They may also take on a profession within the academy. Neophyte - students who have shown promise, but still require much training Prentice - the starting rank of all junior high students, this is because students starting in junior high and not in primary, are required to take a rigorous test. Naif - A rank that symbolizes a student in Junior high who came from the primary division. It has the same perks. Neonate - an exclusive rank to primary students, these students are required to test for Naif toward the end of their 6th Year, if they show no improvement, they are sent to another school within the nation to continue their education.
All students, regardless of rank, live in the dormitory and earn 50 skal every two weeks, skal is used by the students to purchase items for their dorm-room, but is also used to purchase equipment from town.

Neonate Seedling 25+ Skal (Total 75 Skal)
Neonate Sprout Access to Academy Grounds, may not enter secondary areas.
Neonate Sprouts are students who are untested, unknown, and thus no one knows what they are capable of. Neonate Seedlings are students who have demonstrated some capabilities and who show promise, but still require work to mature. Neonate Budding are students who have shown improvement in their magical studies, allowing them to take another step toward the higher ranks. Neonate Flowering are students who have shown the required improvements, and maturity, to be tested for the rank of Naif.   All new students in the primary division start out as Sprouts. Regardless of their rank, students in all four ranks receive 50 Skal a week.   Ascending ranks is not easy as students are required to maintain certain marks in magical understanding and theory, they are also required to know certain spells for the ranks above or even possess a certain level of talent or capability. Because of this, many primary students tend not to make it into Budding or Flowering ranks by their 6th Year.   Primary students have a lot of restrictions placed upon them, including them not being allowed to leave the campus. They also have a curfew of seven in the evening, where they can’t leave the dormitory unless accompanied by a Prentice.   While all primary students start out as sprouts, it is not uncommon for a student with unusual or advanced magical abilities to be permitted to test into a higher stage.   Neonate’s are unable to pass through the Academie’s barrier unless accompanied by an upper class-men. Any attempts to do so alerts their guardian or teacher.
