Aurelian
An Aurelian, also known as a Majikkuyūzā, Witches, etc; is a person who was once human, but has developed the means and capability to use magic. Human society considers them to be completely different from the human race. Even Aurelian consider themselves different, due to the hatred humans often present toward them and thus have embraced themselves as a separate race.
Originally known as Magic Users, the first users eventually took on the name from an old Earth Book that they had found in the ruins of an old city, adopting that name as their own.
Intellectual Differences with Humanity
Largely thanks to their Kai Soul, this race tends to learn at a much faster rate than humanity. It's for this reason that most Aurelian, by the time they are fourteen, have the intelligence of a twenty one year old human although at the drawback of lacking the maturity.Physical Differences
Aurelian's display odd characteristics of animals when casting magic in the form of ears and a tail, these are less common in younger mages and more in older. The features of the animal that they take is their spirit animal.Internal Differences
Aurelian's have an additional organ in their body that can only be seen using magic or magi-tech methods, this organ is key to their magic, without it they can't use it.Height Difference
Because their bodies spend more time developing their Kai Soul, they are shorter than other humans of the same age. Most Aurelian will age more slowly once they are nine year olds and stop aging entirely at sixteen. This often creates problems where some humans think a thirty one year old Aurelian is an eleven year old child. Only another Aurelian is actually able to recognize the age of another of their kind, this is actually due to the 'size' of their kai soul.Reproduction
Aurelian reproduce much the same way as humans; though their pregnancy lasts far longer at almost 120 weeks. Aurelian's rarely give birth to twins, and it is almost unheard of for triplets. An Aurelian mating with a human has a thirty three percent chance of giving birth to a Aurelian, while two Aurelian's mating raises that chance to sixty six percent. Because of these chances, however, Aurelian's population numbers are quite low. A female Aurelian will be able to give birth to a child up to the age of one hundred, after this their body will no longer be able to tolerate the stresses that pregnancy puts on it.Lifespan
The average Aurelian has a lifespan of 1,500 years, though it isn't uncommon for some to live longer than that. This lifespan is largely thanks to their magic which helps to keep them healthy. However, as a consequence, the species has a rather low birth rate. On average, eighty Aurelians are born every year; though the number who pass away differs between forty and sixty, depending on circomstance.Culture
Aurelian believe firmly in survival of the fittest, and because of this, want to ensure that their young are capable of fighting back against any and all threats that are thrown against their species. Aurelian children are taught from a young age how to fight, even before being taught how to talk, and as they grow are trained in how to use their magic even before they are taught basic things like math and history. Aurelian children are taught together and once they come of age, are sent on a trial to prove their worth to society. If a child returns, they are congratulated; but if they do not, then it shows that they were not worthy. This practice rubs some humans the wrong way, given that the Aurelian population is already quite small to begin with. Despite this, they do honor the dead; though it is not something is openly shown to outsiders. At its core, most Aurelian believe in helping out one another, to find each others weaknesses and fix it, or at least figure out a means to counter it; and the person's strengths and how to exploit it.Fashion
There are two types of fashion used within Aurelian society, this type of fashion is actually directly related to the phase of life that the citizen is in. Children wear more lighter, pastel colors, due to their innocence and to help locate them in darkness; but also, to ward off evil spirits. Adults, however, focus more on darker colors. In terms of actual clothing, adults favor formal wear while children prefer loose fitting clothing that doesn't obstruct their ability to move. Children are not permitted to wear dark colored clothing except during certain times of the year, such as during coming of age ceremonies and new years. However, like children, Adults are not permitted to wear light colored clothing except during those same times of the year. A child found wearing dark clothing any other time of the year can be found in breach of tradition and punished.Classes

Due to the existence of magic, Majikkuyūzā growth takes longer than a typical human. A Majikkuyūzā of nine years of age will still look that age when they are sixteen, this is because their physical bodies grow more slowly.
Ecology and Habitats
Aurelian favor more natural environments and tend to shun area's that have a lot of technology, though they seem to not mind steam based tech.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Aurelian will eat almost anything, it's main source of protein however is meat and thus the term 'vegetarian' is taboo since their body needs the protein of meat in order to generate Kai. Majikkuyūzā do forage and hunt for food if they live in small towns or cities and store it using their own magic to keep it cool.
