Aside from the crew, only a select few are aware of the event.

Dr K: the primary doctor, he organized the crew and gave them their mission.
Heat: informed the Jumpers of the situation.
Vulcan: wanted to join the ship, but was told no by Dr K.
DJ: wanted to join the ship, but was told no by Alphonse.
BFK: aware, but stayed behind.
Star: aware, but provided Kaori comfort from the outside.

Neper was later killed by Blue as a result of the failed assassination.
