Shadowbolt
Shadowbolt, known as SB, is an electric spirit. Originally human, he died and made a bargain with an eldritch consciousness, and now inhabits android bodies of his creation.
Physical Description
Body Features
- SB's latest android body can lift up to 1,500 lbs, and its reflexes are ideal for gun fu and quick-trigger gunplay.
- He has yet to design a cybernetic eye with all of the features he desires, so if he ever has need of advanced targeting/database access/infrared/night vision/sonar vision, he has to rely on his patented sunglasses to get the job done.
- Heat, in spite of upgrades, remains a weakness of his body. His skin is durable enough to withstand direct torchlight for up to twenty minutes, but should his tech overheat, he'll slow down. As an elemental he'll still be aware of everything going on around him, and if need be he can always abandon his body, but it's an option he's loathe to take.
- In his elemental form, he is unable to interact physically with anyone or anything, except to travel through and manipulate technology. Contact with bare skin delivers the impacting shock of a taser, but for the most part he just passes through matter.
- In his elemental form, he can fly, but not at any great speed. He'll live forever, but he isn't immortal. He's deadly when in-contact with water, but he's also significantly vulnerable to magnets.
Special abilities
Electric Puppet Master: As a being made of electricity, SB can travel through the wires and circuitry of just about any machine or computer system and control it from the inside. More often than not, his will can override prior programming.
Omega Belt: On the front of his belt, SB has a row of small, colorful orbs, cut from various Omega Meteors. He managed to reverse their polarity, so that charging them with his energy temporarily grants him various powers. Charging one further increases the move's potency, but since SB is made of energy, overuse can leave him weakened.
Supercharge: Despite being an electric elemental, SB can't use energy attacks freely without the use of his belt. He can, however, absorb and expend excess power if he has access to it. Whether he's in or out of his body, he can withstand any amount of energy and throw it back a second later. Excess energy can also be funneled into one of his Omega powers.

- White: A blinding flash of electric light. (Charge more, increase the radius.)
- Red: A single, super-heated bolt of electricity, thrown straight like a knife. Pierces and burns targets. (Charge more, burn hotter.)
- Orange: Allows momentary magnetic control over metals, earthen and otherwise. (Charge more, lift heavier.)
- Yellow: Increases speed for a short time. (Charge more, go faster.)
- Green: A swirling ring-blade of electricity, thrown like a frisbee. (Charge more, cut deeper.)
- Aqua: A single, forceful bolt of electricity, shot from the fingertips. SB's most common attack. (Charge more, shoot more.)
- Blue: A widespread, paralyzing web of electricity, released from the fingertips. (Charge more, stun longer.)
- Purple: Makes targets super-conductive by altering their polarity. (Charge more, focus more.)
- Black: Turns SB's elemental form solid and makes him lightning-quick. Leaves his body vulnerable. (Charge more, zip around longer.)

Apparel & Accessories
SB always wears a nice suit: a black jacket over a pressed white button down, tucked into black pants.
Specialized Equipment
The Shades: Apart from their wide range of sensory and targeting capabilities (advanced targeting/database access/infrared/night vision/sonar vision), these sunglasses allow direct contact and control of any of his creations from afar.
Fandango Fangs: SB's signature handguns. These two custom, silver-plated weapons are capable of a multitude of firing modes, ranging from Automatic to Sniper, Silent, and even Blunderbuss. When precision is needed, their aim is never off.
Bandoleer Belt: Adding to the ferocity of his Fandango Fangs, SB has an arsenal of specialized clips strapped to the back of his belt. He never has the same assortment on him at any given time, and he's always inventing new ones, such as:
Auto-Robos: Adamantine-plated and redundantly-named, SB's robotic creations pull double-duty as both his diligent scientists and his first line of defense. They are tireless workers and eternally loyal. Each one is about half as strong as SB, and equipped with tethered hands that can eject at the wrist, as well as shift into minigun barrels. Built to SB's proportions while half the size, they also make for last-second body replacements if the need arises.
Hecto-Robo: Aptly named, HectoR is a mech the size of one-hundred Auto-Robos. From within the head, it's piloted by a ten-Robo-team. It can travel to other planets, but SB normally keeps it on his moon to protect his headquarters from insurgents and the occasional lighting strike. Unlike regular Auto-Robos, it utilizes electricity as its primary weapon; any point on its body is capable of quickly absorbing external energy as well as returning it. Its hands can serve as lightning cannons, while a large orb embedded in its chest can fire a powerful, supercharged beam. If an enemy should happen to bypass that, then its incredible size and physical strength will do the job.

- Elemental Rounds: Bullets designed to burst on impact with a cloud of any given element (fire, ice, acid, and so-on).
- Smoke Rounds: Bullets designed for smokescreens at long-distance.
- Displacement Rounds: Beads of light that, on-contact, teleport the target away by a pre-determined distance.
- Magnus Pulse Rounds: Barbed bullets, made to pierce metal and disable electric devices.
- Smelting Rounds: Bullets that super-heat targets' bodies, to draw out particular metals and elements.
- Glue Rounds: Bullets that burst on-contact into a glob of bright yellow adhesive that hinders movement.

Mental characteristics
Personal history
SB was human once, back in the days of the Galactic Federation Cluster. He lost his body as a result of his exploits during "The Exhibition", an incident that predated the uprising against Jay Sea, and the great pilgrimage to TGC. While tampering with the lines between technology and ancient magic, he was vaporized by Dr. Kirby, and his soul was soon confronted by an eldritch consciousness. It offered him the chance to return to the realm of the living as an 'elemental', with no physical body - he would live forever, but he would be unable touch or interact with anything around him. SB accepted the terms gladly, as he already had an advanced android body prepared for just such an occasion. Reviving as a spirit of pure, electrical energy, he bound himself to it, just in time to assist in The Exhibition's finale. He never particularly mourned the loss of his first body.
Following that, during the uprising against the Federation's leaderhead, Jay Sea, SB was one of the original founders of Nitracia and Gatracia. His robotic army was an asset in the colonization efforts, but said colonies were short-lived, as they were quickly set upon by the Federation's 'Regulator' forces. There was a valiant effort to protect the moons and their inhabitants, but it ended in disaster when SB's elemental form fused with the viral specter of Vulcan Blitz, resulting in the entity known henceforth as Demolish. SB and Vulcan managed to sever themselves from him, but not before he obliterated the majority of both Nitracia and Gatracia. Possessing one of SB's more dangerous robots, a prototype, capable of mimicking the abilities of any opponent, Demolish lived on as his own autonomous being. However, it was there that he was slain, among the shattered remains of the two moons. The lifeless husk of Demolish was preserved by SB for scientific study.
Shortly thereafter, he and the other surviving Federation outlaws chose to travel far out of range of Jay Sea's influence, along with the majority of Federation civilians who wished to escape. It was during this unaided migration through empty space, from one cluster to another, that they came to TGC. After certain events, SB claimed the small prairie moon Quarz for himself, where he built his now-sprawling base of operations. The base is dedicated primarily to scientific, robotics and weapons research, while the upper levels house several lavish lofts and penthouse suites - though as an elemental he never sleeps, he still appreciates the occasional visitor. Over the years, the building has been toppled and rebuilt several times. The rest of the planet, feeling no need for the moon and being amused by his audacity, let him have it.

Social
Contacts & Relations
As a longstanding member-turned-leader of the Jumpers, SB has a comfortable standing with most of his teammates. If he isn't particularly close with one (like Gameo), or even occasionally clashes with them (like Stardust Phoenix), it's good enough for him to know that he can trust them. While he prefers to stay on everyone's good side (despite what his temperament might suggest), there are only a handful who he actually shares his inner workings with...
Vulcan Blitz: In the whole of TGC, Vulcan is the closest thing he has to a best friend. They'd gone through the wringer together and made it out the other side, having seen the Jumpers through their every threat to date, from the Jay Sea to Kyrios. They don't always see eye-to-eye, but there's no one he trusts more, and no one - in his eyes - who makes better company.
Rock (Classic): While he and SB had grown distant in recent years, he still regards him the way a soldier regards an old war buddy.
BFK: Having brought him on for a time as a hired blade, SB had come to respect BFK (or 'Beefy', as many had taken to calling him) for his stubborn independence and strategic prowess. That, and they tend to share a similar sense of humor.
Blue Logic: While SB likes to consider Blue his intellectual equal, and often speaks to him as such, he secretly has a sort of childlike admiration for his dedication to everything logical and sophisticated.
Crystal Kimera: It's no secret that SB once harbored powerful romantic feelings for Crystal. However, as a very literal embodiment of innocence, she was flat-out incapable of returning that kind of affection. Thanks in part to her nature, she insisted that she dedicate her life to him - to a lesser degree, SB instead allowed her to take the position of Secretary and Personal Assistant. While he's convinced himself that he'd wiped out his feelings for her, the occasional awkward reminder pops up here and there.
Nitro: Because of Nitro’s history with piracy, and especially since his recent return to it, SB has felt Nitro is no longer worthy of the title of jumper, and does not trust him, nor his crew, at all.
Driver: SB and Driver aren't friends, per say, but as a scientist he is endlessly curious about the little anomaly's origins and dimensional makeup, and so he's sure to spend as much time as possible around him.
Whisp: Also known by SB as "The Blood-Bot", "Hemo-Boy", and (unbeknownst to Vulcan) "Demolish's Son", he is a ticking time bomb, born partly from a fragment of Demolish. While Vulcan likes to jokingly call SB his "Uncle", he actually has an entire wing of his headquarters dedicated to keeping tabs on Whisp's every movement.

Social Aptitude
Mildly introverted and highly analytic. Largely impartial/laid back, until pushed too far. Cynical and brutally honest, despite being an idealist. Enjoys heated debates and has a voice made for shouting, but won't lash out violently until he crosses that distant breaking point. An almost juvenile romantic with a craving for - but aversion to - intimacy.
