Kaori Elysium
Kaori Elysium
One of the earliest Jumpers and a survivor of the Gatracia massacre, Kaori left the Jumpers in XX03 before the Purge without a trace, only to return many years later. She is a white Agesian snow leopard with bright pink hair.
Physical Description
Special abilities
Kaori has telekinetic abilities that can be channeled through movement. She uses her acrobatic expertise of speed, strength and flexibility to temporarily access these abilities and must perform the physical skill each time she wants to use one again. However, if she performs too many in quick succession or if her mind isn’t completely focused, the motions will no longer trigger the telekinesis. Kaori often uses her abilities to trick and spy on her enemies rather than attacking outright; she’s not combatant, but she can protect herself.
DeVries - Kaori can attract or repel objects and change the trajectory of projectiles
Hecht - Kaori can make objects levitate
Illusion - Kaori can camouflage herself by taking on the color and texture of her environment
Mostepanova - Kaori can form a ball of elemental energy and project it back at her opponent
Produnova - Kaori produces a shield between herself and her enemies
Portocarrero - Kaori can repair broken objects and undo locks
Shushunova - Kaori can teleport over short distances
Valdez - Kaori can put ideas in the minds of others and manipulate the actions of low-intelligence beings
Apparel & Accessories
Kaori wears a bright red dress, red shoes and a matching headband. She may occasionally change her outfit color, but only if she has shoes to match.
Specialized Equipment
Kaori fights with two gilded carving knives, the source of her powers. Kaori’s two gilded carving knives have been passed down through the maternal line of her family for generations. Their ancient source of power remains unknown to this day. In the early days of the growing rebellion against the Galactic Federation, Kaori’s mother passed the knives to her daughter before her untimely death. Their powers can only be harnessed through Kaori herself; in the hands of anyone else, the knives are useless. She has two main abilities with the knives:
Croix: Creating an X-shape with her knives, she can fire a flaming cross at her enemy.
Ignite: By shouting this command, Kaori enters a temporary super-form. Her strength and speed increase, and she becomes surrounded by a purple flame. However, it also quickly eats her endurance, and damages her body the longer she uses it.

Personal history
Kaori and her younger brother Mac were born during the time of peace shortly before the undercover uprising against the Galactic Federation began. Their parents were heavily involved in the rebellion and taught their children the fighting techniques they would need to defend themselves if a war was to break out. Their father founded Gatracia as a refuge for those looking to return to peace, and his dying wish was for his son to rule the moon in his honor. Though two years younger than his sister, Mac took over the new nation at the tender age of eight. While Kaori publicly accepted this transfer of power and instead took over her mother’s position as Head Chef of Gatracia, the knowledge that her father didn’t trust her to lead because she was a girl always lingered in the back of her mind.
Kaori and Mac lived in relative harmony on Gatracia, along with the members of the Council. As the new nation grew and developed, they teamed up with other Gatracians to fight off invaders and keep the peace on their moon. After the Gatracia War and Massacre, the two siblings fled with the rest of the Council to the Gravity Core and, with the help of Deadeyee, Roboiago and Blue Logic, created the new settlement of Gatracia Neo.
The Gatracians still had a target on their back once they got to TGC, as the GF had placed a bounty on their heads, but they were temporarily safe. However, there was a certain faction of Erizone elites who were not happy with the settlement of young rebel refugees on their planet. In order to help the GRs be accepted on TGC, an arranged marriage between Kaori and Prince DJ was proposed. But instead, Blue suggests that he should be the one to marry Kaori because DJ marrying a non-human would be too radical and Blue was already well-liked within the Erizone government. Kaori and Blue Logic were married on December 28, XX02 and Mac shortly after the wedding and returned to the Galactic Federation, never to be seen again. Two weeks later, on January 12, XX03, Kaori was named Co-President of Gatracia. Only a few months after her new appointment to the presidency however, Kaori too vanished from the Gravity Core just as her brother did.
Though rumors of Kaori’s whereabouts circulated, nobody seemed to know for sure where she had gone or why she disappeared. Kaori spent the next few years traveling the universe and trying to find herself a new place in its vastness. Eventually, she settled discreetly back on the now uninhabited moon of Gatracia and established a boarding school for young girls where they could learn specialized combat techniques. She spent her days teaching a new generation of students how to develop confidence in themselves and took pride in watching them grow. But even though she had built her school from the ruins of the city in which she grew up, Kaori could not help feeling something was still missing. Years later, Kaori found herself ready to face her past and return to the Gravity Core in search of what she had lost.
Kaori currently runs a school and boarding house to train children and orphans in Arbolisk who obtained Core powers during the Purge.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Mac Elysium: Kaori’s younger brother. Though the two fought often as children, they have since reconciled and while they are not particularly close, the siblings still keep in touch. After leaving the Gravity Core, Mac formed an alliance with the Galactic Federation and worked to show them that positive interspecies relations, rather than discrimination against non-humans, was actually in their best interest. Kaori lived for a while with Mac as they fought for non-human rights throughout the GF entities. Though Mac has no desire to return to the Gravity Core, he has promised to leave them in peace.
Blue Logic: Kaori and Mac’s body guard since they were children and Kaori’s eventual husband. Having always looked up to Blue growing up, Kaori was thrilled with their arranged marriage, as the two had grown particularly close as she got older and fell in love. However, unbeknownst to any other Jumpers, Blue Logic only agreed to marry Kaori to fulfill his own ambitions of ruling Gatracia. Upon learning his true motives, a heartbroken and betrayed Kaori, ashamed that she had fallen for his tricks, could not bear to stay in the Gravity Core any longer. Though Kaori never told anyone about what had happened, hints of what Blue had done to her were discovered by other members of the Gravity Core and after this and other infractions were unearthed, he was eventually shunned from the planet.
Green Moon: Kaori’s best friend. The two grew up together before Kaori’s family founded Gatracia and reconnected after the migration to the Gravity Core. Kaori invited Green Moon to come with her and their friendship became stronger than ever. When Kaori left the Gravity Core, she tried to explain to Green Moon, but couldn’t make her understand. Green Moon perished in the Purge before the two friends had a chance to reconnect.
Nolly and Bonka: Kaori’s students from her school on Gatracia. Both children were orphaned at a young age and Kaori raised them for most of their lives. When she returned to live on TGC and establish a Jumper Academy there, Nolly and Bonka were two of its first students.
Social Aptitude
Kaori is strong-willed and forceful, not letting anything stand between her and her goals, though she sometimes still exhibits the carefree spirit of her childhood. She values loyalty over all else and will always stand up for those who don’t have a voice, especially her students. Kaori values the lessons her past has taught her and looks to her prior experiences to shape her choices for the future. Kaori is graceful, positive and gregarious. On the surface, she is a Jumper with a cheerful disposition. Yet beneath this surface is a warrior fighting a generation-old guest, a hero searching for answers. Despite her size, she has fantastic energy reserves and always has something left in the tank at the end of a long fight. She wears fun, vibrant outfits to express her boundless energy and sunny disposition. Kaori is tough to upset but if pushed over the edge she'll take decisive action but her anger diffuses quickly and she rarely holds a grudge.
