She has always found a kinship with nature. She finds salvation where others find death. While others starve, she prospers. No matter the environment, from bitter cold to scorching heat, she knows the secrets to best stay alive. She can identify which foods will kill you or which animals will attack you. This is not knowledge gleaned from books but practical experience she earned the hard way. She embarks on weekend expeditions in the wilderness. She refuses to depend entirely on technology. It is a beautiful thing to have, but it can be taken away. History has proven that already. She wants to be prepared if it happens again. If the world were to fall into ruin, she would still survive. In her spare time, she prepares herself for the next day.

Hunter

She can use Wisdom in place of Dexterity for attack and damage rolls and when setting save DCs with ranged attacks. She can use Constitution in place of Dexterity when determining her modifier to AC. Select either Constitution or Wisdom as her primary survivor ability.

She can also use an action and make a DC 15 Constitution ability check to reduce her exhaustion level by 1. Each time she attempts this save, the DC increases by 5. When she finishes a long rest and has a chance to eat and drink something, the DC resets to 15. Additionally, she also has proficiency in Wisdom (Survival).

Class: Medic

The medic’s job is to keep people alive, usually after they’ve been shot, stabbed, trampled, gored, poisoned, infected with an unknown disease, or some combination of the above. For those operating in the field, this requires extensive knowledge of biology, chemistry, and pharmacology. As a medic, she is not some faith healer or medicine man. She doesn't rattle chicken bones or blow moon dust over open wounds. She doesn't ignore the basics of her profession—splints and braces—but she also don’t ignore the benefits of the scientific process and the by-products of thousands of years of trial and error. These are modern practitioners of an evolving and ever advancing science. That still being said, this medic is not a doctor that punches a clock and flirts with nurses. This one risks life and limb to save the lives of others. Flirting with nurses is still an option, however and one that she frequently engages in.

Medical Exploits

As a medic, she gains exploits she can use to aid allies or hinder enemies. Mechanically, these are identical to spells. Exploits require both the use of her hands and appropriate materials to perform. Unlike spells, medical exploits require neither contemplation nor studying each morning; she regains the use of them each day without effort. She does not need to choose which exploits to prepare ahead of time. She can employ any exploit on the list of a level that she can use.

She also knows four medical applications from the medical application list. These are at will abilities she can use as long as she has the necessary materials and action to perform them.

Intelligence is her medic ability. It is used when setting the saving throw DC for a medical application she uses and when making an attack roll with one. Exploit save DC = 17. Exploit attack modifier = +9

Target Avoidance

She can make a dash or disengage action as a bonus action.

Primary Target

if she doesn't make an Attack action on her turn, she gains a +3 bonus to AC until the start of her next turn.

Medical Emergency

Once per turn (on her turn), she can activate one medical application requiring an action or bonus action as a free action.

Archtype: Field Medic

She specializes in the treatment of the injured during field situations. This usually means going out with the scavangers and dealing with any medical issues that arise while they are out in the field. She knows when to keep her head low, but more importantly, when to rise in defiance to protect those under her care. Her allies probably wonder why she's chosen this path. It is simple. She has nothing to make her stand out and this is the position that no one else wanted so it is the one that she took. There can be glory in doing the undesired job really well. At least, that's what she is hoping for.

As an action she can spend up to four hit dice to recover hit points, or one hit die as a bonus action.

Medical Kit

The formidable medical kit holds bandages, pills, trauma shears, ointments, and basic stitching implements for basic injuries. They also have eye pads and cooling gel pads for burns. Along with wound irrigation. Other implements include splints, alcohol pads, an epinephrine injector, hemostatic pads, and various scalpels and scissors for emergency surgical procedures. Trained medical professionals can pull off miracles with a medical kit. A medical kit has enough supplies to 50 actions (regardless of how many targets are affected by said action).

Drug Kit

  Along with syringes required to deliver various medications, the drug kit offers standard chemicals medical professionals use to create various drugs. Additionally, this kit also includes tools enabling one proficient in its use to extract needed medications from natural sources. Like the medical kit, the drug kit has enough supplies to 10 actions (regardless of how many targets are affected by said action).  

Herbalism Kit

Proficiency with an herbalism kit allows her to identify plants and safely collect their useful elements.
Components. An herbalism kit includes pouches to store herbs, clippers and leather gloves for collecting plants, a mortar and pestle, and several glass jars.
Arcana. Her knowledge of the nature and uses of herbs can add insight to her magical studies that deal with plants and her attempts to identify potions.
Investigation. When she inspects an area overgrown with plants, her proficiency can help her pick out details and clues that others might miss.
Medicine. Her mastery of herbalism improves her ability to treat illnesses and wounds by augmenting her methods of care with medicinal plants.
Nature and Survival. When she travels in the wild, her skill in herbalism makes it easier to identify plants and spot sources of food that others might overlook.
Identify Plants. She can identify most plants with a quick inspection of their appearance and smell.

Posioner's Kit

A poisoner’s kit is a favored resource for thieves, assassins, and others who engage in skulduggery. It allows hwe to apply poisons and create them from various materials. Her knowledge of poisons also helps her treat them.
Components. A poisoner’s kit includes glass vials, a mortar and pestle, chemicals, and a glass stirring rod.
History. Her training with poisons can help her when she tries to recall facts about infamous poisonings.
Investigation, Perception. Her knowledge of poisons has taught her to handle those substances carefully, giving her an edge when she inspects poisoned objects or tries to extract clues from events that involve poison.
Medicine. When she treats the victim of a poison, her knowledge grants her added insight into how to provide the best care to her patient.
Nature, Survival. Working with poisons enables her to acquire lore about which plants and animals are poisonous.
Handle Poison. Her proficiency allows her to handle and apply a poison without risk of exposing herself to its effects.

Background: Regular Joe

She doesn't consider herself special—she doesn't excel in any one thing. And yet, shei s still a unique and interesting snowflake. The combination of skills and strengths, despite nothing marking her as the best in the world, still distinguishes her. She doesn't consider herself average, but she is aware she has never been recognized for much in her life. She is the one society depends on to be reliable. She lacks any debilitating psychological traits, but she is also not gifted to outclass those around her. This does not assume she will never achieve anything—only that no-one, including her, has any expectation that she will.

Origin

Both her parents have died. They were Scavangers that just never came back and are now presumed dead. Sometimes she wonders if they just got bored of her and the life they lived in this camp. Maybe they just decided to go and live somewhere else. She wouldn't blame them for that. She has no siblings. Well, unless her parents really are living somewhere else. Then, who knows?

Life Events

1. Tragedy
The only tragedy that she experienced in her life is her missing parents. But she has a hard time seeing it as a traumatic event. She doesn't even really remeber them. They are more like outlines of people rather then actual people. They simply haven't been there and since she doesn't have memories of them, they have been hard to miss.
2. Romance
Her first romance was with a boy when she was young and trying to conform to everything that society wanted from her. But nothing about that relationship felt right and she decided that she couldn't live that lie. 
3. Romance
Meeting Elen Anelie Cosima changed everything for her. At first, it was just a way to get her physical needs met. But after a while, she realized that she cared about this woman in a way that she had never cared about another human being. She didn't care that this woman had a troubled life and mixed with the wrong kind of people. There was something about her that was mysterious and different then anyone else she had ever known. She wished that she could become everything that this woman needed.
4. Enemy
Levi Aislin Power controls Elen's life and Christine doesn't like it. She considers him her enemy and looks for ways to hurt or hinder him. She imagines ways that she can take him out and effectively come to Elen's rescue.
5. Enemy
Nissa Kennard has the one thing that Christine has always wanted: Elen's heart and she hates her for it. 6. Romance
In an effort to better understand Elen, Christine has effectively wooed Nissa. They are lovers. She hates her, but is determined to learn everything that there is to know about the woman so that she can come to understand what it is that Elen loves about her.

Being a Doctor

The best part about being a Doctor is that it puts her in a postion of power and value. When she goes out into the field with a scavanging team, they will always protect her just because she is the one that knows the medicine. She will always be considered the most valuable. That is the most important reason to take any job. Put yourself into a position where people believe you are the most important one and they will always make sure that you come home at the end of the day.

 

Motivations

Her primary motivation is to ensure that she is the one that survives no matter what. There is no one that she considers more important than herself. All the romantic stories about people sacrificing themselves to save other people are bullshit and just made up to try to convince you that it's a good idea to die for the cause. She is not buying into any of that crap. At the end of the day, she is the only thing that really matters. If she doesn't have her life than she has absolutely nothing else so her life has to come first. It's that simple.

Her secondary motivation is to position herself in society in a way that ensures that her needs are always being met along with most of her wants most of the time. She is only going to live this life once and she isn't insterested in doing it the hard way. She will do what she needs to do in order to make sure that she can ride life smoothly. Too bad if that costs others.

Sexuality

She is pan sexual. She will take who ever she finds intersting in the moment. The most appealing trait in a partner is someone who can keep her from feeling bored. Everyone in this camp is just like everyone else. So, when someone does something, anything that is just a little bit different it is like finding a diamond and she is drawn to that more then any other trait in a person. People that are unique and different are like rare wine that must be savored. That all being said, she is aware that the expectation is that she should be heterosexual. Thus, she puts on that face for the general crowd. But in the shadows she gets what she wants and doesn't let society's stupid rules slow her down.

She favors people who are useful. This bias applies to any character that has a tool proficiency.

Negative Biases

The Awakened and The Others are not well liked in @camp hope and she knows that being seen treating them too well could hurt her reputation. So, she does her best to avoid them and treats them poorly when she has to engage with them. Gotta keep up appearances.

Religious Views

She believes that those who believe in god are those that are frightened of the dark and lack the spine to face that fear. Clearly, there are no gods and there are no divine forces in the universe. We are left to a fate far more cruel: random chance. That all being said, she is fully aware that believing in The Maker is the current fashion and she isn't one to go against fashion. That means that she will attend the meeting and say the prayers whenever there are people to see her doing these things. In the privacy of her solitude, there are no prayers and there is no worship because there are no gods. She pities those who fall into the control of the Church of Hope and loose their free will to that of the church leadership. She will not allow others to control her. Not even with the promises of an after life.

Loyalty

In general, she is loyal to Camp Hope. She recognizes that Humanity has the best chance if they work together as a group. Because of this, it is in her best interest to make sure that the camp thrives and does well. Overall, she wants to make sure that everyone else in the camp is doing well because they in turn will make sure that she is doing well. On this principle, she will only actively work against someone that is actively doing something that is working against her interests. Those who hurt her interests become her enemies, otherwise they are viewed as the collective group that is keeping her alive.
