Rhynmouth
The Pearl of the Dragonbone Sea, a debased hell hole, a beacon of knowledge and progress or a city divided; there are many ways to describe Rhynmouth, one of the most powerful city states on Telamoth. Whatever her reputation, she is a magnet for individuals from all over the world, hoping to make their fortunes, find fame and glory or just build a new future.
From the Human nobles, sitting in the gleaming palaces on Nob Hill to the Gnomes in the bustling Dun or the Dwarves, dominating the crafters' guilds, even the Lizardmen, languishing in refugee camps in the Warren, Rhynmouth provides for them all.
The mysterious Lady has been ruling the city with cunning and guile for decades, managing to keep the many warring factions from outright killing each other. But the criminal gangs are growing ever powerful, new dangers emerge from deep caverns under the city and old grudges cast long shadows.
To save the city from utter disaster a bunch of stumbling heroes have to navigate the pitfalls of faction rivalries and political machination and defend the fragile balance that keeps the city at peace.
Demographics
Main population are Humans. They have been the longest settling here. The nobility of Rhynmouth almost exclusively consists of Humans.
Gnomes are the second larges segment of the population. They are relatively new arrivals, only arrived here in the wake of the destruction of their capital during the Gnomish uprising a few hundred years ago. They live mostly in the Dun and are tinkerers and shop keepers. Quite a few are members of the Academy.
Another large section of the population consists of dwarves. They have been called to Rhynmouth a little bit earlier than the Gnomes to build the harbour and the wharves. Most of them settled South of the Rhyn in what used to be the Old Town. They excel in metalwork, stonemasonry and carpentry.
Lizard people were the last major influx on refugees in the last years. They are mostly concentrated in the refugee camps in the Warren.
Almost all species are present at Rhynmouth. Citizens come from all over the world, even from West Asteros. You can find Elves, Dragonborn, the odd Orc, and even a Hathor once in a while.

Assets
Rhynmouth is one of the richest city in Telamoth. She is the envy of the neighbouring kingdoms. She has the Academy, the harbour, workshops, warehouses and culture in abundance.
Architecture
One reason Rhynmouth is called the Pearl of the Dragonbone Sea is the light coloured stone, used to build most of Rhynmouth's structures. It is quarried in the White Mountains, a mountain range, following the coast line South of Rhynmouth. The light grey of the stones make the city look white from afar. A lot of the newer buildings, such as the Silver Spiral, have picked up on the theme and actually painted their outside white.
Geography
Rhynmouth occupies the space, where the river Rhyn flows into the Dragonbone Sea. It straddles both sides of the river, connected by a huge Bridge. Rhynmouth is surrounded by a city wall. In the middle of the river mouth lies Sanabor Grove. The Clifford stands on a cliff at the entrance of the harbour on the North side of the city. One of the most domineering characteristics is the Silver Spire, climbing incredibly high over the rest of the buildings in Rhynmouth.
