Icy Wastes

Landmass in the North of Telamoth. Only connected to the rest by a slim landbridge. Very cold and Icy.
It used to be the home of Rostomir the Red, one of the The Elder Dragons.
He created the Orcs, who still inhabit this harsh land.

Ecosystem

Cold and harsh
Covered in ice and snow almost the whole year around. Only for two monthe during the year does the snow melt and a very short span of vegetation growth happens.

Localized Phenomena

An endless night rules the Icy Wastes.
Relief of the the long darkness is only provided by the Northern Lights, that turn the skys into a spectacle of colour and light and the short days with feeble sunlight during the two summer months.

Climate

The long winter only ends for two months per year, when the snow melts and the hardy plants of the Icy Wastes have their one chance to flower and multiply before sinking back into their long sleep.
