Light, Sturdy and richly coloured
Vandel wood is a sturdy and light type of wood which comes from the Vandel Tree. These trees can be found in many forests all over Dysvoll but the highest density of these trees are in the north. The Tredop Forest has the absolutely highest density of vandel trees.
Cutting trees and supplying wood to other's is our livelihood. That's all that most of us folk will ever work with here in Tupdrop, from youth to when we retire.
Light, Sturdy and Popular
The light pecan-brown colour of the vandel wood is a common sight to see in all towns and cities in Kanden. This is because the vandel wood is the primary wood used for buildings and other structures in both Estratoft, Bredtkiping and Hanalund. It's very popular both due to it's high supply, but it's also favoured over other common wood types due to how light it is, and how sturdy is becomes when treated the right way.Monopolization of Wood
Over 90% of the wood used for building in Kanden is supplied by Vivandel Wood Workings, a lumber company working out of Tupdrop in Estratoft. In this small town, most people either work with wood lumbering or with farming.
