Exploring Crevice: The Food

The food of Crevice is completely dependent on which Stratum you are on and your specific tastes. Here is just a quick summary of some of the variety available around Crevice

Fish

Crevice has an abundance of fish. There hundreds of different kinds of fish that are served every moment of every Cycle. What is unique are some of the ways they are served. Paradise you will find the spiciest fish in all of Crevice. While on the Guild Stratum the fish is served almost raw. In Cryo you might find some frozen fish sticks with a variety of dipping sauces. The most unusual fish is in the Mining Stratum. Here you will find fish that is stuffed with heat stones and cooked from the inside out. You eat it with the stone still inside to keep it steaming hot as you eat it.

Bugs

This a staple of a healthy diet in Crevice and the shear abundance of options is amazing. Clearly Roaches is the primary food source for most of us and we eat it daily. Lets look at some other amazing options around Crevice. Beetles may do a lot of work in Crevice, but they can also be delicious to eat. The Shepard Beetle is known to have a naturally spicy kick and is mostly found on Hydro. Thenis Beetles are smaller and bred on the Lake for Thenis Stew. This amazing stew was even featured in Azipina's Dream Food as one of the best dishes on the Lake. On the Engineering Strata, you will find Rub Bugs with a honey glaze as a sweet ending to any meal.

Grubs and Worms

Grubs and worms often become the side dishes of most of the meals in Crevice. Fried Stone Worms are the most common found all throughout Crevice, but some places have really found ways to make these crawling creatures the main attraction. In Arcane, we find a unique cooking style with a bit of magic that twists Blanting Grubs into a solid bowl for any stew. Once the stew is done, eating the bowl is even tastier. On the Guild, you may find Trupe Worm salad where the worms may try to escape if you aren't careful. These still living worms are great with this fruit salad as they burrow into the fresh cut cubes. Lastly the great Ice Worms of paradise are rare treats for the people. These massive creatures felled by the great training of the Blood Hunter Camp can serve thousands of people after one is killed. You best get there fast though, these are only killed 2-3 times a year. Great dishes include Ice Glazed Skewers and Cold Blood Soup.
