Saint of Righteous War, Justice, and of the Cleansing of the Unclean
Saint Alesia is Godric's second child, and is the Saint of Righteous War, Justice, and of the cleansing of the unclean. In the battle of Mt. Aethelstan Alesia Carronus, the daughter of a smith, took up one of her father's swords and singlehandedly slew the Greater Daemon Hellebron before she was able to summon a horde of lesser daemons to kill the citizens of Naggarond before they could escape the doomed city. She had watched for years as the overlords of the city preyed upon the weak, using them for their foul pleasure. She had begun training an underground militia of local fighters using her father's surplus weapons, to fight for Godric should he ever come. She stayed behind, even as the dark city fell, and continued to slay darkness until she was dragged down with the dark city itself. To honour her for her devotion and courage, Godric Raised her from the Underdark in a beam of holy light, and made her his second child.
She would devotedly follow Aethelstan in his conquest of the continent. Whereas he was a magic user beyond compare, she deftly used her two-handed sword Zulfiqar, granted to her by Godric himself, to slay the beast, the monster, and the daemon in hand-to-hand combat. While Aethelstan hovered in the air above casting spells, it was St. Alesia who marched with the men and women of the light, and fought with them side-by-side. It was through this that her and aethelstan became estranged. Whereas he believed in redemption, she had seen too much, experienced too much of what evil was capable of to allow any of it to live.
Together, they form the two sides of the light: the willingness to give mercy to those who will bow their heads seeking honest and holy redemption, but the ability to smite with ferocity those who will not.
