Saint Aethelstan
Saint of the Holy Arcane Arts, Light, and Redemption
Saint Aethelstan is the patron saint of the holy arcane arts, light, and redemption. Saint Aethelstan is known in Calradia as the 'First Son of Godric'. He was raised to sainthood after betraying his former patron, the Daemon Prince Aloth. It is unknown what made him break from being a Daemon worshipper, to fighting on behalf of the Primordial God of Order. Whatever the case that occured, it was he that personally oversaw the lighting of the walls of Nazzareth alongside Godric, and so he became the patron saint of both light, and of redemption.
Even before his betrayal of the dark god, Aethelstan was a powerful wizard and sorcerer. Now powered with the holy light of Godric, He is an immortal magic wielder without equal, and can unleash energies which can level entire towns and cities.
It was Aethelstan who first led the warhosts of Nazzareth out to cleanse the continent, and so he is almost unanimously worshipped throughout the Imperial lands. He is also worshipped by magic users of all kinds, as it is said that he can personally influence the winds of magic in his favour.
