Kingdom of Underhome
Prior to the Blight, the dwarves of Underhome were a unified people and incredibly powerful and wealthy. Their alliance with the Sovereign Bechtlarite Empire had brought them a great deal of prosperity and good fortune, the backing of the Empire allowing them to expand and build even further than the initial kingdom had stretched, encroaching on the smaller, less numerous gnomes that shared the subterranean realms with them. While the gnomes offered little to no resistance, there was a great deal of animosity there. Despite this, the realms of Underhome were touted as a wonder of the pre-Blight world, caverns, tunnels, roadways, and vast chambers filled with every manner of industry were found there.
