Artemus was raised to be honorable and bear the weight of duty that came being the next in line for the title of Earl of Hawkport. He learned diplomacy, military strategy, and estate management, among other things, from an early age. His youth was marked by extensive travels across Edria, building alliances with other nobles and learning about all of the Hawkport estates.
After becoming Earl, he maintained peace on his land and helped broker agreements between many nobles during a period of political unrest. He has earned the respect of his peers ad the common folk.
His marriage to Grace was arranged, but love and mutual respect flourished over time.

He lost his younger brother and sister during the hostilies. This has left him haunted and weary of sending loved ones into danger.

Quotes & Catchphrases
Strength is not measured by force, but by resolve.
A leader serves, not commands.
My father is a good man. I knew this on some level as a child, especially after seeing how some of my friends fathers acted toward them. But I never realized just how good he was, how strong, how confident he was of himself... and of me, until the apocalypse. For him, the Earl of Hawkport to take orders from me, to look to me for guidance. I could not ask for a better man to call Father. Well, I only wish...
chuckles Guess it's a little late for that. I don't see myself getting married and having children now. Too many need me, too many count on me to protect them. I must be there for them. And how can I justify bringing children into the current world?
