Cyning Cerdic of Wessex

Cyning Cerdic ͏͏͏͏ (a.k.a. King of the Gewessi)

Cerdic is the half-Ænglic Saxon king of Wessex, and is the youngest son of High King Vortigern.   As Cerdic was born in Britain and his mother hails from Jutland, he is an Ængle and not technically of Saxon descent at all; he was, however, raised in Saxony. He considers himself the King of the Gewessi, the tribe his father was descended from.   He returned to Britain and conquered the Logrian county of Hampshire in 496, declaring it to be the Kingdom of West Saxons, or Wessex.   Observing both British and Saxon traditions, Cerdic wishes to bring an age of equality between British and Saxon peoples. He is currently allied with Salisbury.
