Goddess of Earth

Nép ऋॖर is the goddess of earth and stone, twin sister of Valak. She is one of the patrons of the dwarfs and has watched over them since the beginning of the fourth age.
More so than any of the currently active gods, Nép is active in the lives of mortals, especially the dwarfs. She will frequently visit individuals. Sometimes this is to provide guidance or help to the person. Sometimes it is to ask the person to aid in a quest of some sort. And sometimes, it's just to hang out with someone different. While she can be encountered anywhere, she is most often in caves, on mountains, or in temperate forests. Nép's favorite place to encounter mortals at is her cabin.

Physical Description

Nép always wears a stone pendant on a choker around her neck. The pendant has her symbol engraved on it and is wrapped with wire. Every time she's seen, it is a different stone and different wire.
She generally wears a simple dress, made of simplified natural materials, with little or no decoration.

History

Nép and Thōsh have long been friends. This is in large part because Nép enjoys spending time in the jungles and forests of Thōsh's domain. She likes the feel of growing things around her as a contrast to the cold stone of her domain. However, the two also cooperate, as the soil in the forests and jungles is formed of the earth and the decomposed components of nature.

Loshm has always been eager to learn, and while he didn't know anything about stone working before meeting Nép, he eagerly learned the techniques and methodologies of mining and working stone from her. When he turned out to be an excellent teacher, she relied heavily upon him when teaching the Dwarfs stone working. Early on, she rewarded him with his innate stone manipulation abilities.
