Thevan

Language of the Gods

Thevan, or छॄऌॗ (Þēvä /θeːˈvʌ/) is the language used by the gods before Binaka ever existed. They still use it. It was used by the wizards of the First Age for verbal magic, to record spells on paper, and to impart magic on objects. It is still sometimes used in the creation of magical objects.

Author's Notes

The orthography (script) is based on the Devanagari characters available in Unicode. I am horribly misusing them. No offense is intended. The use is merely a convenience of being able to represent the "native" script of a language without having to generate graphics for each one. The characters have been selected for their general appearance and not for any underlying meaning.
