Ludmilla Vilisevic is a Barovian Human Vampire, and a Consort of Strahd von Zarovich.
Ludmilla was heavily involved in the desecration of the Bones of Saint Andral, seemingly forcing Henrik van der Voort to sell them to her after he stole them on behalf of Victor Vallakovich. Whether or not she actually wanted the Bones, or merely wanted them to be profaned enough to be desecrated is unknown. She was also involved in the plot to burn down parts of Vallaki during the coup against Vargas Vallakovich on the day of the Feast of Saint Andral.

†Though she appears 31, Ludmilla stopped physically aging when she was transformed into a Vampire. In actuality, she is 270 years old.

Personal history
Ludmilla caught the attention of Strahd von Zarovich when she publically hosted a lecture at the Strahd von Zarovich University extolling the virtues of the "practical applications of magic" in open defiance of Strahd's censure of the subject. She was taken to Strahd by his Consorts at the time — "Marishka, Verona, and Aleera" — who thought Strahd would kill her, but he instead turned her. Strahd then "discarded" Marishka, locking her in the Castle Ravenloft Crypts.
In the years since, Ludmilla has seen many Consorts be likewise imprisoned, and she is now his oldest Consort by far, having survived so long by making herself useful to him. However, she longs to escape his prison, and the County of Barovia at large.
Ludmilla has chosen to lair within the Castle Ravenloft Observatory, though she also spends much time in the Castle Ravenloft Greenhouse. She has also revealed that she has a laboratory in the city of Proske, where she wishes the Heroes to bring her news of Ezmerelda d'Avenir's strange abilities, which are the lynchpin of her magical research.
