Burgomeister Vargas Vallakovich (a.k.a. "The Baron")
Vargas Vallakovich is a Barovian Human Boyar, and the Burgomeister of Vallaki. Though officially a Burgomeister, Vargas styles himself the "Baron of Vallaki," claiming legitemacy through an unrecognised subdivision of the County of Barovia. Vargas is the husband of Lydia Petrovna and the father of Victor Vallakovich. He resides in Vallakovich Manor with his wife and son.
Vargas's right-hand-man is Vornic Izek Strazni, with whom he works closely.
In recent months, Vargas has enacted the Proclamations of Jubilation, a series of daconian laws upon the people of Vallaki.
