Izek Strazni was a Mistborn Human Enforcer and Vornic for Burgomeister Vargas Vallakovich. He was in charge of the Vallakovich family's soldiery, making him the de facto chief of the Guard of Vallaki.
Izek was known as a cruel man who took genuine pleasure in his work of enforcing the "Baron's" will. He was never seen without a bloody left hand, covered in viscera and gore. Due to Übel Bachmann's keen eyes, it was determined this blood and gore was coming from his hand itself, apparently being flayed and healing again in slow motion. This affliction appeared to have originally been caused by Henrik van der Voort who flayed his arm attempting to escape from his old colleague.
Izek appeared to have some kind of fixation on Ireena Kolyanovich after he saw her on the 4th of Second Moon during the Festival of the Blazing Sun in Vallaki. This fixation came to a head when he grabbed Ireena on Drinkday, 6th of Second Moon, 735 ME during a battle, and demanded that she "free him." Ireena seemed perplexed, and Izek seemed frustrated she didn't know what he was talking about. Izek was shortly after killed by Soryn d'Nemishcata, who shot him through the back of the head with magical needles.
