Origin Gems

During the Origin Wars, the gnome god Garl Glittergem fell in battle to the demon god Zaraku. Rather than let Zaraku absorb his power, Garl shattered his body into millions of gems that scattered all over the world. Each gem holds a sliver of divine power.   As such, the Origin Gems are highly coveted and have been collected throughout the ages. The gems have been used to amplify magic in incredible and dangerous ways. However, after several ages, most of the Origin Gems have been used or are lost to history.   Recently, Darius, son of Demon Lord Zoul and rakshasa, Kabar hatched a plan to use several Origin Gems to open up a rift between realities. The Party inadvertently helped Darius in his mission by collecting Origin Gems throughout Xorik that were part of powerful magical items.   gems ranging from the size of an eye to as large as a person are scattered throughout Xorik. They are the remnants of the fallen gnome god Garl Glittergold who fell in battle to Zaraku during the Origin Wars. Rather than let Zaraku absorb his essence, Garl let his body shatter into millions of gems that scattered over the world. Each gem holds a sliver of divine power that can be used to amplify magic in incredible and dangerous ways.
