Origin Wars

During the Age of Darkness, the fierce fighting between the demons and devils drew the attention of other supernatural powers. Gods, both good and evil, soon descended upon the world. The gods brought their vast armies with them to defeat the fiend lords. The long series of wars between the gods and fiends became known as the Origin Wars. The casualties on both sides were uncountable as numerous gods and fiend lords died. By the end, the gods Bahamut and Tiamat’s dragon creations proved the tipping point in the war. With their host of powerful dragons, the gods were able to destroy and banish most of the fiends from the world. However, the most powerful fiend lords were too strong to banish. Instead, the gods used their divine might to imprison the powerful fiends deep within the world.
The gods renamed the world Astoria. As gratitude for Bahamut and Tiamat's children turning the war, the gods gave dragons dominion over Astoria leading to the Age of Dragons.
