Creation Wars

During the Age of Dragons, Tiamat corrupted the dragon overlords to become cruel and arrogant. The tyrannical dragons begun to abuse their rule over other mortals, which angered the other gods.
The gods began manifesting on Astoria to defend their creations from draconic enslavement. Tiamat led her dragons in battle against the gods, their creations, and the remaining good dragons. These long series of wars became known as the Creation Wars as gods fought alongside their mortal followers. Ultimately, the gods and their creations prevailed but not without the cost of many lives and the splintering of the continent of Astoria into several continents. Led by Bahamut, the gods punished Tiamat by imprisoning her like the fiendish lords after the Origin Wars. In the end, all gods, good and evil, agreed to no longer manifest in the world to avoid such widespread destruction again. Although the gods would still grant favor to their worshippers, the gods would no longer fight alongside mortals. In addition, with the dragon population greatly dwindled and Bahamut, shamed by Tiamat’s twisting of their creations, decreed all dragons to no longer rule. So ended the Age of Dragons and begun the third age, Age of Mortals.
