Dario

An elven sorcerer, Dario was born dead and nearly buried until he miraculously returned to life. Growing up, the young elf manifested strange shadowy powers. As an adult elf, Dario lived near a remote Thamarian village practicing herbalism and making medicine for any villager that needed it. If he was paid enough, he would place magical curses on others. After cursing a man named Roarke, Dario made a mistake as the angry man reported the elf to The Order. Dario barely escaped Inquisitor Geralda's capture as he ran away from his home in the woods. The incident woke up an anger inside the elf, an anger at the Order and a burning desire to help other mages accosted by the organization.   During his travels, Dario joined Steel and Cyrus, and the three banded up to hunt down evil. Their mission eventually took them to the small northern towns of Rivershire and Mistyshire next to the Celestial Peaks. Rumors of disappearances had drawn the trio to the edge of Thamar. However, Dario quickly butted heads with the Order stationed in the town, specifically the brash Templar, Sir Dendrik. However, Dario earned the respect and friendship of the Order Mage, Gwenda, who helped them throughout their time in Rivershire. Despite Sir Dendrik's efforts to arrest them, the group of heroes were joined by a paladin, Sah-dienn, and the four stopped a werewolf threat. They soon learned the werewolves were merely pawns of a greater evil, the Night Queen, an undead and imprisoned priestess of Faluzure. Dario and his friends faced off against the evil cleric several times, found divine artifacts along the way, made new friends (Mord, Keyleth, and Carric)before finally destroying her as an undead horde razed Rivershire. The victory costed the lives of several friends, Steel and Keyleth, a fellow hunter, but Steel begged the mysterious @Raven Queen to help and both were resurrected in new bodies. In secret, Dario killed Sir Dendrik who still refused to see Dario as a hero despite saving the towns. After freeing Gwenda of her Order branding, her, Dario, and Carric joined the Maelstrom crew as the flying ship appeared several days later.   During his initial time on the Maelstrom, Dario studied the strange artifact he took from the Night Queen, the Catalyst and discovered the ancient spirit inside the item. Carric eventually left to start a resistance movement with Dario's blessing in Thamar. Using his strange magic, Dario helped the other heroes broker peace between the Dawn Alliance and the Pirates of the Vast Sea. Later he helped slay the terrible Desert Tyrant. Upon being imprisoned by the Order in Riverhold, Dario made a deal with the mysterious One God for help. An angel of the One God teleported Dario and other imprisoned mages to the Maelstrom in exchange for Dario helping the One God in the future. More trouble would soon come as Dario and his friends killed Darius and closed the rift to the Dark Reality. However, the Demon Lord Zoul appeared and banished them through the closing rift to the Dark Reality.

Dark Reality

In the Dark Reality, the heroes failed to stop Luther/Zoul and instead the demon lord corrupted them just as he had corrupted Luther. The fate of this reality's Dario is unknown.
