Charm: "Good as Gold, True as Steel" The Ru Wood: The Southern border of Bastis is defined primarily by a great forest called the Ru Wood, presumably named for the town of Rumuth that sits to the north of its eastern edge. The Coast: Often called the Undaunted Coast, because it survived the onslaughts of the Khabarese Crusade as Urudun's coast was destroyed, the Coast is the home of Madport, the harbor that exports finely-bred dogs to wealthy lords and merchants. The Highwood: An expanse of wild forest that encloses the Peak, a small mountain that is home to a wizard's holdfast. The Sublime: A huge, mist-filled valley, where two rivers (the True Tongue, also called the Sage, and the False Tongue, also called the Liar) feed into Glennet Gorge and into the sea. Most of Bastis' foisons are grown here. The Seading Reach: Home to the capitol city of Seading, the Reach is also home to Lake Eskri, a bounteous lake that rests near the edge of the Duinna Cliffs, the immense black cliffs that fall down to the Sublime below.
