Aerutumia Uplands

Aerutumia is assumed to be a Viisianari name. Fitting, as the Aerutumia Uplands are home to Craed Beleth, the traditional birthplace of the Viisianari and the Old Orckid Empire.
The Uplands are chiefly divided into three regions. The Ardur Coast (oft called the Coast of Ardor), a lightly forested land that actually runs partly up the River Morfurus. The Pitoshi Fields cover the center of the region (particularly the south-center). The defining part of the Uplands, however, are the Maran Hills, sometimes called the Hills of Mar. These Hills supposedly yielded gold and gemstones in the early days of the West Orckid Empire, but they also hold great historic import as the traditional ancient birthplace of the Viisianari. The legendary Mount Rhesselor, after which the highest peak in the Orvyx Mountain Range is named, is believed to have been inspired by one of these hills.
