With no unifying geographic features, Shoq is the land traditionally considered the home of the Shoq Nodal, an ancient people conquered by the Old Orckid Empire. This assertion is false on its face, as the region is also home to the town of Olhorianesi, home of the ancient Olhoria, but it is the justification for unifying the region under a single banner. Shoq is a provider of ore, lumber, and crops for the Jemnaia Margrave, the primary motivation of this union.
