Maran Hills
The defining region of the Aerutumia Uplands in West Orckid, the Maran Hills are supposedly the birthplace of the ancient Viisianari People and therefore the Old Orckid Empire. Mines in the area have long been exhausted, yet the area remains influential, housing the city of Craed Beleth, ancient and powerful.
Oft called the Hills of Mar, many of the hills are home to shepherds and other tiny settlements surrounding Craed Beleth. Due to their proximity to the great city, the Maran Hills are the chief exporters of wool in the Empire.
