Geneforge

Usually in reference to Ranedian technology, this is a specific variety of cloning tech built with cybernetic augmentation shortly after initial decanting.  The technology is based upon Geneforge Prime, an ancient high-tech facility that the Imperatrix discovered nearly two centuries ago, and reactivated, producing the first generation of Ranedian Protogens.

The Geneforges proper are accessible only to trained and qualified Ranedian personnel, but offshoots and imitators were created and sold off to other worlds, including Ambracia, Dakiupra, and even Takuvia.

Discovery

Discovered by Imperatrix Raneda sometime in 900 ABO, the technology of Geneforge Prime was reverse engineered and disseminated across Ranedus' surface.
