Hope's Wake
A sequestered region between Lake Zaliad, the Saltfrost, and the Sanguined Barks. Hope's Wake is named for the extinct volcano at the center of its wetlands, where the supposed Goddess of Humans designed weapons to fell her people's oppressors. The valleys and fields hold vestiges of The Dawn of Thought, the oldest recorded period of Agoran history. The humans who live here preserve these temples, plinths, and ruins dutifully, as it is that history which inspired hope for the Stoneborn.
Floating upon levitating terrain above the marshes and mountains of this region are numerous Stone Era structures that the Doxard Regime liberated from across Agora, so as to prevent their desecration by the hands of the Starborn. The populace that remain in this space are predominantly humans with ancestors who participated in the Doxard Regime, and view this land as the last bastion of Agora's true culture.
