Shading Willows
This expansive woodland is rich in unique fruit and flora, but also acts as a sanctuary for unsavory fey creatures and large predatory beasts. Gatherers from Crovess are escorted into the forest to collect samples of its vegetation, though none ever venture to far into its trees.
Though dangerous in its own right, it is name is not born from its hazards. It is named the Shading Willows after the grandiose shadow that it casts towards town upon K'run's dawning. The people do not particularly fear the dangers of the forest. Not even the elk that wonder the field between it and Crovess seem too concerned. As the dire wolves and owlbears within seem to keep to the treeline and do not rove past the thickets. This is likely because the Ryefend guardsman that patrol Crovess's Harvest Wharf are seen as threats.
Whilst the people do not fear attack coming out from the woods, they still fear entering it themselves. This is wise, as the dire beasts and other large creatures will cut down anything that they can conceivably feed upon, even their competing predators. What's more people have spoken of hearing alluring voices and false cries for help.
