Pylons of Power

I am most gratified you are enquiring about the Pylons of Power as they are absolutely fundamental to the understanding of magic, the influence of the Gods and indeed the creation of Aeon and everything on it.

The pylons are five immense, and I do mean mountian-scale obelisks rooted deep in the fabric of the world, separated by vast distance yet interconnected.

They each vibrate with raw power dubbed 'The Resonance' which flows bidirectionally with each of the other Pylons, linking them together by the Streams of Power interchangeably known as the 'Gossamer Lace', the 'Web of Fundament' and the more colloquial 'Leigha Lines'. The network of lines connects not only the five prime points of power but also lesser locales, usually denoted by stone circles or some such similar delineation.

The Five Elemental Pylons
Each pylon is associated with one of the five Resonant Elements of Induction:

Element Location Divine Patron
Pylon of Air Avian Strata, Forests of Wyoness Opis
Pylon of Earth Monument, Sulamynen Regolith
Pylon of Fire Ash, The Crater Kail
Pylon of Time Chronassus, Chronocian Plateau Cibil
Pylon of Water Meridian, Meridian Sea Leigha
There is a portal leading deep into the heart of each pylon through which the Envoy Regents were imprisoned millennia ago, the door to which is sealed by a Digit Stone.

Inducers and Priests
The Sodality of Leigha refers to the five pylons as the Fingers constituting the Right Hand of Leigha, while the Left Hand is comprised of their ruling council.

One may be forgiven for concluding that these Wielders, Manipulators or Inducers are the only ones capable of harnessing the power gifted by the pylons, and if the Sodality had their way this would be the case, however there are talented individuals who have a more... sympathetic relationship with these energies; the Priests of the Open Palm.

Theirs is a more nebulous, subtle affinity, centered on life in all its forms. Where the Inducers seek to syphon power from the Streams, the Priests are attuned to the ambient energy gently radiating from the Streams.

It may be of interest to note that Life was once considered the sixth sphere of magic in the days before the Flare  , but by mutual consent the Priests separated from the Sodality and formed their own organisation of mutual interest. There has always been a degree of... distance between these two aspects of the same power, though today there is far less animosity.
