Cap

Human warrior and current Seeker for the Aegis of Lightbringer . Leader of the Knights of the Sacred Flame, wielder of the Heart of the Forest and member of the Forerunners of Prophecy.

History

Cap was born in the small port town of Tamar, located west of Tantric in the Kingdom of Andor. Much of his family was wiped out by Keshian forces following the Siege of Tantric in 156 KE, by raiding parties that spread into the Kingdom before eventually being pushed back. Seeing his family butchered by elven swords gave Cap a permanent aversion to bladed weapons, a belief that was reinforced when he was adopted by the Ordi Domani, a monastic order of Triam. He was raised by the clerics and upon adulthood, given the option of joining the order---but chose instead to strike out on his own.
Cap rose to fame in 181 KE when he met Mordai and the two embarked on a daring rescue of the Pullahari monk Polaris Te'Laetheriel, who had been abducted by the Arc'Tun Cult. The trio, eventually joined by the gnomist machinist Hexum Kraskorein, would form an adventuring group later known as the Forerunners of Prophecy.

In the Northlands, Cap eventually passed the Koh'Ka'Doom ascendancy, becoming a Maimtooth berserker. He also came into possession of the Heart of the Forest after defeating its owner, the Green Knight, in the Glade of Epinoin.
Cap would later come to symbolize the theological rift in the Church of Lightbringer, as he--with the help of his lieutenant, Rhaelor Sanguinar--formed the Knights of the Sacred Flame with the goal of purifying the church.
In 182 KE, Cap and the other Forerunners were key players in the Battle of Prophecy's End, killing Ethilendra, Archpriestess of Living Flame, and inadvertently fulfilling the Seer's Prophecy.

Personality

Cap harbors some ill will towards the Keshians, but that pales in comparison to his hatred of bloodshed. Cap abhors chaos, and to a lesser degree, violence--but violence is a useful tool for restoring order to an unjust world.
