Forerunners of Prophecy

Often referred to as "the Forerunners." A group of Kingdom adventurers who inadvertently became caught up in the Seer's Prophecy, eventually becoming principal players in bringing about its conclusion.

History

Most agree that the group was formed when Pullahari monk Polaris Te'Laetheriel was kidnapped by Arc'Tun cultists and later rescued by the Epinoin wizard Mordai and human warrior Cap. The trio were sent to find the Seer, a reclusive mage later discovered to be Rafe Windsong, who was trapped under a powerful mind panopticon spell. Upon breaking the spell, the Forerunners learned of the Seer's Prophecy and began a years-long quest to reveal its meaning.
They were eventually joined by a fourth member, Hexum Kraskorein, a gnomish machinist from Harlequin. Their journey would take them across the continent and into contact with several of Aedrus' most famous entities. The Forerunners have primarily been opposed by the Cult of Arc'Tun and their now-leader, Ethilendra, Archpriestess of Living Flame.
The Forerunners' journey culminated in the Battle of Prophecy's End near Crux. Inside the Ebonglass Cathedral, the heroes fought and killed Ethilendra, before realizing she was only a distraction. Mordicon, Master of Magic, the true puppetmaster behind the prophecy, completed the ritual by killing Polaris, successfully bringing the Precursor Dragons into Aedrus.
