Mílesis Academy
The Mílesis Academy is one of the most important mage academies in the Sikíron Empire and largest one on the Meldon Plain, specifically the city of Mílesis.
It specializes in the art of enchanting weapons with Magic Crystals, often custom-made for wealthy individuals ranging from mages to mercenaries to generals and even the very emperors and empresses, which provides the academy most of its wealth and, by extension, the city of Mílesis in general. More affordable though nonetheless reliable equipment is produced there as well.

Architecture
Mílesis Academy is generally built in the same style as most buildings in Mílesis, being paþarían style with some local decorative elements. Certain rooms, particularly those where magic crystals are stored and handled, are reinforced in case of a crystal shattering and causing a chain-reaction, thus shielding those at work elsewhere from harm.
Due to the high concentration of arcane energies in the area, the academy was initially surrounded by a stretch of empty, walled off land to protect the city's population, which has since been transformed into a garden featuring various trees and shrubs adapted to such environment, providing the people there a place to rest.
Outside the entrance to the academy is a small market square providing people -particularly soldiers, adventurers and followers of Hirpesía- with armour, shields and weapons of all kinds.

History
The dwarven Zameltoníans, founders of the city, were the first to use enchanted weapons and armour on a large scale, and their smiths -arcane and mundane alike- were usually spared after their empire fell at the end of bronze age due to their skills. Their descendants, the Tanikaz-Dwarves, moved their smithies and workshops to the surface and continued making new equipment for their new masters, particularly in Mílesis.
It wasn't until the early Paþarían Empire that the workshops were replaced by the building complex which forms the core of the modern academy, with separate structures for different stages of casting and forging the weapons and arms, the enchanting process, storages for magic crystals and other materials etc.
