Þerakkía

Þerakkía was a kingdom which ruled the northern Meldon Plain during the first-eight centuries a.Paþ, and one of the successor states which appeared in central Adynía following the sudden collapse of the Paþarían Empire a thousand years ago. It was bordered by Silver Sea to the west, territory of the Narsíans to the southwest, Hekólía to the south, a disputed territory to the southeast, Lera to the northeast, Halinkazía to the north and Záal to the northwest.
Þerakkía was founded by Zákus I, a former paþarían general who had been stationed in the city of Mílesis at the time of the collapse, and like all rulers of the successor states saw his own kingdom as the true heir of Paþaría, depsite the fact that paþarían customs lived on mostly among the aristocracy, and the country's culture as a whole was far more influenced by local nemirkían, vakkal and -later on- Rúali traditions.
The kings of Þerakkía were known for their royal guard, known as the Scarlet Shields, who were considered some of the best warriors at the time in central Adynía. They fought as arcane cavalry, influenced by rúali mercenaries, and fought the armies of the Sikíron Empire with such ferocity that Þerakkía's fall was a near-pyrrhic victory for the Sikíronians.
