Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Kavúlíen

Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Kavúlíen is one of two Snake Monasteries found in the region of Gartaríen in the eastern Sjorgús Mountains, the other one being Anþa Vylkalí-æ-Algan to the southeast.
Located next to the cave containing the source of Helkan, one of the main rivers in Nemirkía north of the mountains, the monastery is home to a snake oracle and her guardians, the latter which are a mixture of Paheiríen-Elves hailing from the town of Tóaþril to the south on one hand, and local Gartaraz-dwarves on the other.
The two gartarazían tribes in the area, namely Namjótevaz to the east and Fóktevaz Tir beyond the river to the west, provide the monastery's inhabitants with food and other necessities in exchange for visiting the oracle in times of need.

Architecture

The monastery is built almost entirely out of stone, planned in much the same way as other such structures in the mountains but featuring a mixture of traditional paheiríenic and local gartarazían decorations, with an emphasis on animals such as snakes, foxes, mountain goats and birds.
The whole site is encircled by numerous cairns and standing stones to ward off evil, which also mark the graves of past snake oracles.
