Órikans

Órikic: Órikokl /ouːrɪːkhɔkhl/
The órikansh were one of the many hapalian tribes that inhabited western and northern Gysikan prior to the fall of the Paþarían Empire, most of whom have since been supplanted or destroyed by ancestors of the modern Lerdíkans and Nússans who now rule the area after migrating from the distant Wild Mountains in northern Adynía.
Órikan territory covered what is now the border between the kingdoms of Lerdis and Nússa, where they traditionally subsisted on herding goats and sheep along with hunting and foraging, and occasionally barter with the dwarven Katargysians who otherwise kept to their subterranean city-states, often receiving precious and semi-precious stones or Magic Crystals in exchange for protecting the latter's flocks of sheep.

Religion

Like the Amrans in southwestern Gysikan, órikans primarily worshiped a war god and moon goddess, namely Fer and Ti. Fer was originally associated with wolves and part of his rituals included the consumption of wolf flesh, which has since been replaced by horse meat due to him now being equated with the nússan Larr, god of rain and warfare.

1Original icelandic: Órikar, singular: Óriki.
