Meteor Mishap
On our way back to civilization one day, there was an ear-splittin' boom, and a flash of light. A few minutes later a shock wave. None of us could figure out what had happened. Next day, we got attacked in the middle of the night by a huge toad. Poor lil guy didn't stand a chance against us. Later that day we heard some shoutin'. I jumped off the wagon to see what had happened. There was a man bein' attacked by two giant bore. They killed the unfortunate man, an' we killed them. On the man we found a ring with the name, "Isqaph'l" engraved on it. He also had a journal. His journal talked about packs of crazed wild animals roaming the countryside. It also mentioned a meteor, (which would explain the boom and the flash.) It mentions he thinks the site of the meteor impact is the source of the animals behavior. We'll have to check that out. Looking at the bores, we saw they had yellow crystals in their hides. Weird. Then something weird happened. Rerae tried to attack Arc. Arc yelled out, so I restrained Rerae with some magic vines. Then Barg smashed the crystal. Apparently Rerae had tried to mentally connect with the crystal, and it took over his mind. Why he wanted to talk to a rock I'll never know.
Anyway, Abby had been acting a little off ever since he gave me back my life. I had been trying to work up the nerve to talk to him about it. I was afraid he was mad at me or something, Before I could though, he sorta... had a breakdown of sorts. He yelled at everyone for being foolhardy, but was especially focusing on Arc, Rerae, and Rankle, saying they were putting us in unnecessary danger. He referred to me as, "the best of us." Well shit. I don't deserve that sort of accolade. Not by a mile. Hell, he's the one that can heal people and restore their life. He takes care of us and never asks for a thing in return. Now that's a hero if you ask me. I tried to sort of comfort him, but peopling skills aint my strong suit.
The moment was kinda broken up cuz then we saw just a flash of that creepy Tour Guide guy again. Just as soon as we saw him, he was gone again. That night Abby made a powerful awful meal. I mean it was REAL bad. I ate it anyway though cuz I didn't want to hurt his feelings.
Eventually, we reached the crater created by the meteor. We saw a tunnel dug into it so I went up to inspect it. That bit me in the ass. sort of. Rather, I took a face full of acid from two different Ankegs. I took quite a beating from them. I actually would have died again if it weren't for Abby. Maybe I'm the one he should be yelling at...
