Into the Shadowfell
The Guide showed up again. He said, "It's time to deal with Chardixtra. I'll see you when you get back." That made me nervous and excited all at once. Mostly nervous because how are we going to do that without Abby? Well I had managed to make four potions of acid resistance. I gave them to Arc, Mavinda, Barg, and Thistle.
Then I sent a message to Abby to tell him what's going on and that if I don't make it out, he should take care of my family. He didn't answer so he must of been busy. I hope he's OK. I wonder if he knew when I said family I meant the Merrymeads, the twins, their mama, and himself. I bet he did.
So we attempted to teleport to Rominia, but that's not where we ended up. Everything was dim and shadowy. A dream for Mavinda, I bet. We realized we were in the Shadofell. We see mountains and a tower. A voice called out to Itophi and called her evil. Whatever said that believed it with their whole being too. Unsettling. I'll have to remember to tell Abby about that, but I don't think I can use the stone to contact him from another plane. We went to that tower and saw a glyph on the door so we knew better than to touch it. I thought we should just call out to whomever was inside and try to make friends, but the others said, "naw." Instead, Itophi dispelled the glyph. Thitle turned into a spider and went in, and Arc sent in a magical invisible eye. OR at least he said he did. I couldn't see nothin, so maybe he was pretending. Well wouldn't you know, a few minutes later, Thistle ran out the door shouting that there was trouble. Sure enough A whole slew of baddies were right behind him! I knew we should have tried to make friends. I bet those baddies were just upset that someone just appeared in their fancy tower. We'll never know now. Anyway, we fought. Eventually a wizard appeared and everything else vanished. We killed that poor, could of been a friend wizard pretty quickly. We fund some stuff on his dead body. The most interesting being a pitch back crossbow. It almost looked like any light that was in the Shadowfell was being siphoned into the bow. Definitely powerful. It calls to me. (Not like out loud or in my head or nothin... just like, wow I really want that kind a calls.) Maybe The Guide meant for us to find this and we need it to fight Chardixtra. But what if it's bad? I wish I could talk to Abby right now. He'd know what to do. I think I'll pray to the Everlasting Flame. That's almost as good as talking to Abby.
