Lucid convinced the Phrat'ii that we were on their side, and would disable the sun dome to let them inside. While I was incredulous at the thought, he later assured us that he was just looking for a way out of the encampment, and could warn the Solen about the coming forces once we arrived at the township of Dahb.
For his trouble, Lucid received a Phrat'ii slave, who he could not even understand apart from the broken Common she spoke. She informed us of the way Phrat'ii soul sucking works, and what awaits the souls who suffer that awful fate. We then released her, and she walked away, solemnly, into the desert.
At the Solen encampment, I fudged my way inside, claiming to be a member of the Princess' guard. I guess, by technicality, I was, but this was enough to let me in without proof. I still keep a tattered piece of their banner, in case I needed to prove my identity, but this was not needed yet.
While the rest of the group spent some time in a Solen brothel, I conversed with the leader of the camp, Tali. She told me of the Phrat'ii leader, who killed her husband and took his soul, and how her people fight not only to protect the Sun Dragon egg in their care, but out of revenge for their fallen comrades.
I told her that we could plan an ambush, and take out the Phrat'ii leadership and leave them scattered enough for us to collect our captured comrades and leave. She agreed to this arrangement, on the provision that Gurval and Talu stay in the palace, while myself and Tali discuss what comes next. Zyanaya, who was kicked out of the local brothel, also agreed to stay with us in the temple hall.
What Tali wants to discuss, I am not certain, but if it involves the fate of the Sun dragon, it is likely important to the Solen as a whole.
