We landed in the Sideways Inn tavern in a purple haze, causing the other members of my party to throw up. Luckily, I was able to orient myself quickly - all that time spent flying must have honed my aerodynamics well.
Quickly establishing ourselves in the tavern, we discussed the issue with the Ley Lines with the bartender, who informed us that the tavern did have a weird disruption occur 30 years prior, which he blamed on a Fae Realm incursion. He saw several strange creatures, resembling those of our realm, but slightly off, and blamed them and the Fae for the events that occurred, including the tragic breaking of his daughter, Frannie's, heart.
Speaking with Frannie, she recalled that the visitors made their way around the bar, and one - who looked like an Infernal - seduced her before teleporting away. She wanted to try and follow the Ley Lines, to see where they may have gotten, but required some potion ingredients, which is where everything started to go wrong.
Soon after Arthom and Gurval returned with the ingredients, everything started to go... strange. Arthom turned small (smaller than usual), Talu into a frog, Mura and Lucidius broke out into song, and Gurval seemed... smarter? Which is strange considering he didn't even drink anything.
The strange thing that happened to me was... a small goblin, staring at me from inside my mind. Like it was inside my own mind, leading me somewhere.
Eventually, all of our conditions faded, as Arthom came out of a room with Frannie after doing... something, and Nakah closed the Ley Line disturbance. However, the Green Elf trio wanted to take us on a hunt in the forest, while we make sure there were no further issues with the Ley Lines.
We also need to find our missing companions, Ko and Zyanya, who went missing after jumping into the portal.
Gurval - smarter than he looks and acts, and has a strong devotion to Alpha, who he believes is the god above all. Also has a devout issue with criminals and the Phrat'ii race as a whole. Definitely a good ally going forward.
Arthom - has issues with Gurval, but seems to like me well enough. Probably because I respect his space and try not to cause issues. If things stay that way, I can see us working well together.
Mura - quiet and reserved, but she knows many things that her appearance would betray. She got along well with Frannie, showing a knack for persuasion when needed. She did not know much about the Aurelian Elves back in Zyniii, but her and the bartender know they are troublemakers who act like they own the bar. I hope Saib is okay dealing with them, but sounds like he could be fine if he plays up his boastfulness as usual.
Lucidius - really down to earth and straightforward, he seems to have grown up on the streets like Saib has. While I'm sure the two would get along fine, I've also made fast friends with him.
Talu - saving the worst for last. While she claimed that the looks she gave me were not meant to cause offence, and attempted to find some middle ground between us, she keeps pushing me more and more on my nerves. While I can put up with a Lupo moon worshipper, it was when she disrespected Kah and our history by claiming that we were the aggressors that really got on my nerves. She should check her own history, about Skipan slaying my ancestors, including Kah's own father, before daring to call my people's faith into question. I will keep a close eye on her, or enlist one of my allies to do so. My faith will not falter.
