We rallied together behind Lucids wish - to avenge his fathers death at the hands of a Dwarven Melvor cultist. Prince Jupius also tagged along - wanting to make a stand against similar cultists to the Enkelados cultists that took over his home.
While this was not ideal, if I wanted their help in my own tasks, I would need to help them. Yifeng was adamant that we should try to resolve this diplomatically, which was obviously a non starter, but we would humour her if it keeps her onside.
We also picked up another straggler - the Nusaru Froblina, who is an ally of Prince Jupius. Together with Yifeng, the monks seemed to share a common understanding and bond between themselves. They used their combined elemental energy to help hurry the ship towards the escaping cultists.
As the ship rocked and roared, I took to the sky to surveil the surrounding area, noticing the cult ship in the distance. It seemed that our ship had lurched while I was airborne, rocking everyone around. I informed them that our prey was ahead, including Lucid’s father’s killer, based on his description of the dwarf.
We quickly assembled a plan - my role was to simply rain fire from above, which suited me. Arthom transformed into an octopus - another form to add to the list - with the others each attending to either storming the ship or fireballing it as necessary.
Yifeng suggested we try diplomacy, which irked me. When dealing with thugs and murderers, trying to talk them down never works. Unfortunately the world isn’t like the stories of old, where heroes hold such sway over the minds of evildoers. However, we did humour her, and let Froblina communicate with the Nusaru who did not realise their leader was a Morvor cultist, and abruptly dove off the ship to leave him.
The rest of us mopped up any resistance, while Lucid took on the man who killed his father and in turn, killed his, achieving his vengeance.
With the death of Moadhog, we rescued the cults prisoners, and returned home for a well earned rest.
Shortly after, I received a letter from the Prince, asking to meet him regarding the future of his campaign into his homeland. While I processed his offer, I thought of my own home, and how I had to return there before I make any further promises.
