Wisdom

by Syrus

Master Jfif of the Mokunan monks wanted to take us on a spiritual tour of sorts, while Gurval, Rosa and John argued over the egg again and Nakah went about fixing the Ley Lines. I agreed, seeing no harm in partaking in such a ritual. After all, no point going on a world seeing adventure if you don't see the world!

As we delved deeper, I realized that even though this spirit journey was individualised, I could still see the others around me, in their own similar journeys. It was a strange feeling, even as I considered leaving the group, I almost felt lost without them. Adrift in my own mind.

The first vision was of a Rojikan princess who was struggling with what she wanted, and what her family required of her. A shocking facsimile of my own situation, which ended with her asking who I wanted to be. I was still unsure, and am still unsure, of what I really want, but she seemed satisfied with my answer.

The second was of a great stone Elf, who seemed at peace with his surroundings. He spoke of how we need to focus ourselves on the here and now - not our future.

The third was an Aurelian Elf at war, who demanded to know our loyalties and where our heart truly lies. He was happy with my loyalty towards myself, as he believed that true honor comes not through courage or loyalty, but being true to yourself. He later met up with the Rojikan from the first vision, which makes sense given their similar philosophies.

Lastly, was the Great Monkey King Foo, who ranted at us about visions past and future, and the 'great stories' we held. But most of all, opposite to the stone Elf, he warned us to be ready for the future we share.

These were the former mortals turned gods, Azadeh, Eion, Cicero and Foo, who appeared to us all in spirit to guide us.

Once back at the temple, we saw Nakah waiting for us to visit our next, and presumably final, location.
